Castellana Grotte
A few minutes AWAY, Castellana Grotte is world renowned for the beauty of its caves. Situated 2 km from the town centre this complex of caves is the most famous of its kind in Italy and one of the principal tourist attraction in Puglia.
Alberobello
A few kilometres from Maison Santarosa, Alberobello is a unique town, a world heritage site since 1996. The historic centre is composed of the typical conical constructions “trulli” the origins of which date back to 17th century. Originally lived in, many of these have now been transformed in to small boutiques selling local arts & crafts. Take a delightful stroll up the hill, the peak of which is dominated by the “Trullo Sovrano”.

The Coast
The beach of Capitolo, near the locality Monopoli is one of the most famous beaches of Puglia, as it is very varied. There are many organized beaches with parking and many other services.

Polignano a Mare
Covering an area of 6.3 kmq on a roughly triangular promontory, rising vertically from the Adriatic Sea, Polignano a Mare is a small town characterised by coves, inlets and caves. Inhabited since the Palaeolithic age, Polignano a Mare offers visitors two outlooks. Firstly the sea and beautiful natural caves which attracted the first inhabitants. Secondly the fertile country side, covered in typical Mediterranean vegetation and dotted with archaeological sites, testimony to what Polignano has been and continues to be, a vibrant and dynamic centre. Today Polignano presents to the visitors, who constantly arrive, as a small town with great potential due to the conservation of its history and culture. The typical local cuisine is based around fish.
